Accommodation

Early booking strongly recommended

Kindly note the Savoy bedrooms are booking fast. Make your reservation now to avoid disappointment.

November is a very busy month in London for conferences, trade fairs and pre-Christmas visitors. We strongly advise that Conference delegates make their hotel bookings as soon as possible as the special rates and room block we have negotiated are subject to availability.

We would encourage Conference delegates to stay at The Savoy Hotel, which is the venue for the IOSCO Technical Committee Conference, and with whom we have negotiated a block of rooms at special rates. Complimentary transportation to all IOSCO events, including the Welcome Reception and Gala Dinner, will depart from and return to this hotel.

About the Savoy Hotel

Savoy hotelThe five-star Savoy Hotel is the venue for the IOSCO Technical Committee Conference.

Situated on the banks of the Thames, The Savoy is one of London's most historical Art Deco establishments with a river view which inspired over 70 of Claude Monet's impressionist paintings of the capital's bridges. Built in 1889, The Savoy continues to occupy its original site on the Strand, a short walk away both from the theatres and shops of the West End and the City of London, and within easy reach of landmark monuments, including Buckingham Palace and the Houses of Parliament.

Rooms have standard five-star amenities, including high-speed internet access and dual voltage outlets to support European and North American power cords. The hotel has two restaurants, including the Michelin-starred Savoy Grill, the American Bar and a fitness centre with spa treatments, a gym and an indoor rooftop swimming pool. The Savoy is part of the Fairmont Presidents Club loyalty programme.

Rates for Conference Delegates

We have arranged a block of rooms at The Savoy Hotel where Conference delegates can benefit from special negotiated rates. However, both the special rates and the room block are subject to availability and we are obliged to begin returning all unsold rooms to the hotel by 15 September 2006. We would, therefore, strongly advise you to book your accommodation as early as possible as we cannot guarantee that the rooms we have pre-booked will still be available after 15 September 2006.
